Development and implementing health campaigns
Empowering community members through training and capacity building
Over the years, we have identified that HIV/AIDS and Mental Health have become serious health issues within our African community in Doncaster and this in turn has made the organisation take a strategic step to finding ways of informing and educating community members about the virus. One of these steps is to become involved with the National HIV African Prevention Programme, (NAHIP). NAHIP: This is a Department of Health funded project, which is managed by the African HIV Policy Network. In order for NAHIP to carry out their work, they work in partnership with 10 organisations and these include Pan Afrique, to help identify the needs and implement work within African communities in the United Kingdom.
These activities include trainings, resource and campaign development. (For more information, get intouch with the centre’s adviser on 01302 343120 or email

One of the campaigns that Pan Afrique has been actively involved in, is “THE BEYOND CONDOMS CAMPAIGN” BEYOND CONDOM CAMPAIGN: This campaign aims to enhance a safer sex culture within African communities in England. It will provide information on safer sex options, dispel myths around condoms and safer sex practices, and promote life skills that enable African people to implement appropriate safer sex strategies.
